1.What is Just Us?
The Just Us program at the Oasis Center is a youth empowerment program. Specifically catering to LGBT high school students, it acts as a safe and open place to discuss current issues and strive to make a positive community impact. This goal is realized both inside and outside the program, with many members of the Just Us group personally impacted, while leaving a strong impression wherever they have been involved.

2. Why is the programming meaningful to you?
The Just Us program has been an important part of my life since I joined over one year ago. Having been closeted and socially isolated before seeking them out, it was largely the encouragement of my newfound friends and the impact left on me by having an involvement in their activities that gave me the courage to strive to make positive changes in my life. Since then I have been able to move my efforts to trying to create a positive impact on others, and feel my close involvement with the program has truly had an effect on those around me that would not be possible otherwise.

3. What would you like to do
Graduating from MIT and using my skills to positively impact the world.

Just Us is an Oasis Center program dedicated to serving young people, 13-21 years of age, who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or are questioning their sexual orientation and/or
gender identity.

Brandeis University: Taylor's Thesis
These photos come from our new friend Taylor at Brandeis University, who made us a part of her senior thesis. Taylor says, "I am a theater major at Brandeis University and for my senior thesis I chose to choreograph a modern dance piece to FUN.'s album "Some Nights." LGBTQ rights are very important to me and I felt that if I was using the band's music it was only right to make the The Ally Coalition part of my thesis as well to show the Brandeis community's support for equality.
